August 2010 - NuPhysicia’s accomplishments in the offshore environment were featured in the ATA’s own journal, reviewing the impact of telemedicine in the oilrig service space. ‘‘Telemedicine’s greatest advantage is to bridge access to care, and that is what it is doing for [the people on] these oil rigs,’’ says Alexander Vo, Ph.D., executive director of the Center for Tele- health Research and Policy at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston.
